I started recreational Gymnastics at the age of 8 and quickly went on to competitive level, competing several times a year, and then moving on to compete nationally, training upto 20 hours a week whilst still at school. Since then my passion for Fitness has taken me down many different paths from the 30 weeks basic training for the Royal Marine Commandos at age 17, competing in Running and Double Mini Trampoline events, many outdoor pursuits to training for my first Triathlon.
Since I have gone on to Coaching in a variety of settings from lunchtime Sports Leader, recreation centre’s, Afterschool clubs, Sports Day organiser, Display Co-ordintor to teaching Curriculum P.E. Lessons across Stockport, Manchester & Tameside. Including Pre-School, Holiday Courses to Competitive classes.
I believe my love of Fitness comes from my introduction to Sport at a young age, and commitment level from my parents to be taxi driver, motivator and all the other necessary roles. Gymnastics, Boxing & Trampolining I consider to be just a few of several sports that can be taken by a child to help them gain and maintain a good level of physical well-being from now right through to later life.
With the structured Gymnastics, Trampolining, Boxing and Fun Fitness lessons provided by myself with the assistance of other experienced and dedicated coaches, increased strength and flexibility, improved balance, motor skills, reactions and reflexes, and then in turn raised confidence are just some of the benefits to be gained. Aiming for every child to leave an ACE Coaching session with a beaming smile and, knowing they have improved yet again.
To maintain the high standards needed to deliver continuously challenging and fun sessions my knowledge is kept up to date with all the latest courses and new resources available.
Any new members to the team being personally mentored by myself, ensuring they follow on a programme of continuous development.
